Grants for Teachers to Help Students After COVID-19
The NEA Foundation is offering grants of $2,000 and $5,000 to teachers to prepare for the 2020 - 2021 school year. COVID-19 has presented unique issues to our nation's education system and, in some cases, has impeded students' learning capacity. The NEA Foundation wants to contribute to preparing educators for the challenges that will be present at the beginning of the 2020 - 2021 school year due to the pandemic. The focus area can include preparing for the social and emotional needs of students and families, adapting school work for virtual learning, and providing enrichment to teachers to support student learning.
Applicants must be NEA members. Eligible applicants are teachers, instructional support staff, and educational support staff. Instructional support staff and educational support staff can include school nurses, clerical staff, security staff, food staff, custodial staff, counselors, social workers, media specialists, and bus drivers. The grants are awarded for a one year period beginning October 2020.
Deadline: July 15, 2020
